Enjoy the magic, adventure and entertainment of the 4 theme parks, two water parks, over 20 on-site resort hotels and more. We recommend you plant to stay at least 7 days but longer trip of 10, 14 or even longer can easily be filled and you may even enjoy some relaxation and downtime.

For the most immersive Walt Disney World experience stay in one of the themed hotel resorts where you can enjoy great Disney hospitality, wonderful pools, unique dining and free unlimited transportation to the parks and around the whole of the Walt Disney World Resort. Travel easily by monorail, boat, skyline or bus anywhere around the resort, so no need for a car!

There are also plenty of off-site options including hotels, villas, motels and apartments. Some hotels will offer shuttles to the parks and you can also easily utilise ride share services like Lyft and Uber if you are staying close by. Otherwise car rental can be included into your holiday package, great if you want to explore more of central Florida.

Warm/hot & mainly dry. 26-33℃ with occasional storms. Expect storms and rain showers with increasing humidity in June & July.

Crowds

Watch out for Spring Break (mid-late March) and Easter holidays are always popular and the parks will be busy. July especially around July 4th is also a peak time for US holidaymakers. May and early June can be less crowded.

Weather

Generally hot (30℃+) and very humid. Take advantage of slightly cooler mornings and evenings in the parks. Higher chances of storms and occasional hurricanes (late July – early October). Milder temperatures in late September & October.

Crowds

Generally September is less crowded but Disney does try to counter this with good offers. Otherwise expect crowds to increase towards Halloween.

Mickey’s not so scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park (Aug – Oct). Ticketed evening event on selected dates.

EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival (mid-August to early November).

Expect crowds to increase through November and December with Christmas week being the busiest time of the year at the parks. Thanksgiving week at the end of November can also be busy.

how long should I stay at walt disney world

Up to One Week, 7 Nights

Trips of a week or less are going to be intense but still can be fun and magical. You will probably not be able to see and do everything Walt Disney World has to offer and your park days are going to be full on!

While longer trips will give you a better experience and value for money sometimes you may be limited to a shorter trip, we can help you make the most of the limited time you have.

Around Two Weeks, 10 – 14 nights

Two weeks will allow you more time to enjoy the Walt Disney World resort at an enjoyable pace. You will not only be able to spend time at the theme park but also enjoy the water parks and relax in the resort hotels.

The 14 night Magic Ticket makes spreading visits to the parks more affordable so you can easily spend a morning at Magic Kingdom followed by an afternoon chilling at your resort pool.

Longer stays, 14+ nights

You can easily spend two to three weeks staying at the Walt Disney World resort. Remember there’s a lot to see besides the theme parks. Whether it a stroll along the Boardwalk, sampling the beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter or taking in a stunning sunset at the Beach Club there’s plenty of Disney vibe to be had.

A slightly longer trip may not not break your budget so If you have the time, why not!
