Disneyland is the first and original Disney Park, opening on July 17th 1955 located in the city of Anaheim, California just outside Los Angeles. However, Disneyland has not stopped in time with a blend of classic attractions such as Mr Toad’s Wild Ride with modern experiences like Star Wars Rise of the Resistance.

The Disneyland Resort is also home to a second theme park, Disney’s California Adventure which is home to Pixar Pier, Marvel Avenger Campus and the spectacular Cars Land. You can also enjoy seasonal festivals such as the Food & Wine Festival in the springtime and the Festival of the Holidays in November & December.

The Disneyland Resort in California offers over 100 attractions, rides and shows across the two parks, around twice as much as Disneyland Paris so we recommend visits of 3 – 5 days to give you time to enjoy the majority of the experiences at the resort. The two parks are located across the esplanade from each other and you can walk between them.

Unlike Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland Paris, the resort in California only has 3 resort hotels, Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand California Hotel and the Pixar Place Hotel. However, there are many hotels within a short walking distance of the theme parks with shuttles also available.
